Erin’s passion is twofold: 1) sharing practical, educationally-sound and reality-based strategies for healthy parents to build strong families, and 2) inspiring and coaching moms to greater fitness and health, so they can look great, feel great, and be the best parent they can be. These two passions intertwine with a solid educational and practical experience background that allows her to speak and teach with life-changing strength. As an accomplished educator, working with children and parents for 30 years regarding teaching and learning, child development and behavior, family and interpersonal relationships, and leadership, Erin knows what works. Most importantly, her credibility and expertise is grounded in practical experience as parent of 13 children ranging in age from four to 23. Erin received her bachelor’s degree in education (1981) and master’s degree in rehabilitation (1991) from Western Michigan University. Her experience crosses a wide range of educational environments, from classroom instruction to one-on-one special education instruction. Since the 1980’s, Erin has served as a leader on professional and parent boards as an expert in education and child development, as well as speaking at conferences and workshops for educators and parents since the early 90’s. Erin currently teaches leadership, individual and organizational behavior, health and wellness, and writing as adjunct faculty for Cornerstone University and serves as an educational consultant and counselor for families on homeschooling, gifted child education, and special education. She and her husband Shawn enjoy living and raising their children in Michigan.
